Air Cadets is one of the largest youth organizations in Canada. A portion of funding for Air Cadets is provided by The Department of National Defence, however, much of the program costs are covered by fundraising efforts at the local level.

The Squadron Sponsoring Committee (SSC) under the authority of the Air Cadet League of Canada (The League), is responsible to make sure that the program outlined by the squadron Commanding Officer is properly financed. The League is also a non-profit organization that does not receive any government funding. Each squadron in BC pays $115 per cadet to the League.

Donations, Fundraisers and grants help cover costs such Cadet enrolment, transportation, activities, and updating and maintaining equipment and Head Quarters.
